I thought I would introduce you to small town life in West Virginia.

Since Buckhannon is situated in Upshur County, I will familiarize you with Upshur County, as well. Buckhannon's population rests near 7,000, while the county's population totals 23,000. Our average temperature is 52° Fahrenheit, with a January average high of 41° F and average low of 20° F, and an August average high of 84° F, and average low of 59° F. We average nearly 50 inches of rainfall a year, too. The county is 354.86 square miles in size, or 225,288 acres, and the courthouse rests 1432 feet above sea level.
